NOTICE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC OF IMPENDING ROAD WORK at
Oak Drive and Circle Way Intersection (City Hall)

ATTENTION: Residents, Police, Fire, EMS, School District, City Employees and others.

The contractor has scheduled the beginning of the street panel replacement work in the inside westbound lane of Oak Drive at the intersection with Circle Way. Traffic flow will be intermittently stopped as heavy equipment removes and replaces the street pavement.

Beginning Monday, December 4, 2017, the contractor will begin removing the street panels slated for replacement. This work will be followed by the installation of new subgrade base material, and concrete pavement with paver restoration. The replacement concrete will be a fast cure mix that will allow traffic to begin using the lane as soon as possible after it is installed.

The project consists of replacing a 120 ft x 23 ft wide section of the inside lanes in the westbound direction, toward SH 288/332 from the downtown area. Through traffic across this intersection will be limited along Oak Drive to a one lane travel but will be closed to Circle Way into and out of approaches to the downtown.Detours to this destination will be designated but may be confusing until you find other indirect routes in the vicinity. All right turn lanes are now open to ease the right turn and detour away from the intersection.

Please make plans to avoid this area if at all possible, and exercise caution if you find it necessary to use this travel way. Temporary signage will be installed to help direct traffic through the area, but we expect that the traffic will take a while to get accustomed to the situation and we hope the project will be over as quickly as possible expected to be around December 18.

We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconveniences these needed improvement changes may create for you.

Sincerely,

Sal Aguirre, P. E.
City Engineer
