Personal History
Jon was born in Caldwell, Texas and moved to Lake Jackson in 1986 when he began his work in the county as a Brazoria County Narcotics Investigator. In 1988 became employed as a Police Officer for the City of Lake Jackson. During his tenure with Lake Jackson he had the privilege of serving the citizen’s of Lake Jackson as a motorcycle officer until his retirement in 2007. After his brief tenure with retirement he began work as a Chief Deputy with the Brazoria County Constable’s Office in Precinct 4. In 2010 Mr. Baker graduated from the Constable Leadership College at Sam Houston State University. Jon is married to Shon Baker; they have 4 children: 3 sons, 1 daughter and 1 grandson. He and his family attend Family Life Church in Lake Jackson.

Community Involvement
J.B. was elected to City Council in May 2011.  In 2013 he was re-elected to serve a second term.  He now serves as the city council liaison to Board of Health, Seniors Commission and Parks and Recreation Board.  He has also served as liaison to the Traffic Commission, Southern Brazoria County Animal Shelter Board, Keep Lake Jackson Beautiful and the Zoning Board of Adjustments.
