Course Description:
This course is designed to give the basic knowledge and tools to Patrol Officers and Detectives in the collection and preservation of digital evidence from mobile devices such as cell phones and tablets. This course will also give a brief look into what type of evidence can be collected from mobile devices and how it applies to modern day investigations. No prior knowledge or experience is required for this course.
Instructor: Detective Sergeant Christopher Collins, Lake Jackson Police Department
Detective Collins has been conducting mobile device forensics for 2 years at the Lake Jackson Police Department. In his position, Detective Collins has attended several training courses, and obtained multiple industry leading certifications in the field of mobile device forensics. Due to his successes in mobile forensics, Detective Collins has been interviewed and featured in several trade publications from Cellebrite, Grayshift, and Police 1 Magazine.
