COOLING STATION

COOLING STATIONS

The Lake Jackson Library has become a designated cooling station between now and September when the heat index is predicted to be 100 degrees or higher.
The station will be open during regular library hours.
In a partnership between the Brazoria County Library System and United Way of Brazoria County, our county libraries will provide bottled water and an air-conditioned environment where residents can escape the heat. Initial supplies of bottled water have been donated by Actions, Inc. of Brazoria County, CenterPoint Energy, Angleton Church of Christ, and others.
Groups, organizations, and individuals that would like to donate cases of bottled water can drop them off at any of the twelve libraries throughout the county.
