How may I request the driving safety course for my citation?
A person may request the driving safety course either in person or by mail.
By Mail - You may submit a written request for the driving safety course or you can print the driving safety course affidavit - /DocumentCenter/View/110, a copy of your valid TX Driver License, proof of financial responsibility-a copy of your insurance ID card (must show you listed as a covered driver on the policy) and a check or money order for the state fees on the citation which is $104.10 for general moving violations or $129.10 for moving violations occurring in a school zone.

In Person- You may present a copy of your valid TX Driver License, proof of financial responsibility-a copy of your insurance ID card (must show you listed as a covered driver on the policy) and a check or money order for the state fees on the citation which is $104.10 for general moving violations or $129.10 for moving violations occurring in a school zone to the clerks in the municipal court office during regular office hours.
