1. Is The Recreation Center open to the public?

Yes, The Recreation Center-Lake Jackson is open to everyone, regardless of residency.

2. Where are you located?

Our address is 91 Lake Road. We are at the end of Lake Rd. across from Rasco Middle School, on the corner of Lake Road and Canna Lane.

3. What are your operating hours?

The facility is open Monday-Friday 5:45am-9:00pm and Saturday 8:00am-6:00pm, closed on Sundays.

4. Is financial assistance available?

Yes, financial assistance is available to Lake Jackson residents only. To request financial assistance, please contact Jennifer Fields at 979-297-4533 or jfields@lakejacksontx.gov to schedule an appointment.

5. How much is a membership to The Recreation Center?

7. How do I cancel my membership?

Memberships must be cancelled in writing, either by coming in to The Recreation Center and filling out a form, or by completing and submitting the form below. Membership Cancellation Form

8. Is there an age restriction at The Recreation Center?

Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult to enter The Recreation Center facilities.

9. Can I swim in clothes?

Proper swimwear must be worn in the pools. Shirts may only be worn OVER a swimsuit.

10. Is there childcare at The Recreation Center?

The KidZone is open to families with a full membership at The Recreation Center.

11. What time is childcare provided?

KidZone is open Monday-Friday, 8:00am-1:00pm & 4:00pm-8:00pm

12. Do you have lockers available to use?

Yes, lockers are available for daily use but must be emptied at the end of the day. You may bring your own lock or purchase one for $3. There are also lockers available for Recreation Center members to rent for $3 per month.

13. Do I need to reserve a racquetball court?

Court reservations are recommended. Racquetball court reservations are limited to two (2) hours per day and may be made up to one week in advance.

14. What holidays does The Recreation Center close for?

The Recreation Center is closed on New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

15. What are the Skate Park hours?

Skate Park hours are the same as The Recreation Center, pending weather conditions. Hours are Monday-Friday, 5:45am-9:00pm, Saturday 8:00am-6:00pm and Sunday 1:00pm-6:00pm.

16. When is the Outdoor Pool open?

Hours of operation are Monday-Saturday, 11:00am-8:00pm and Sunday 1:00pm-6:00pm. The Outdoor Pool will be open on Memorial Day Weekend, May 25-27, then will open for the Summer beginning June 8, 2013.

17. Where is the Outdoor Pool?

The Outdoor Pool is located at 302 Magnolia, beside Elisabet Ney Elementary and the Lake Jackson Pee Wee baseball fields.

19. Can I put a moonwalk in any park?

Moonwalks are only allowed in parks that have been rented. There are strict policies about moonwalks that must be followed, please read the attached brochure. Moonwalk Safety

20. Can I go camping in Lake Jackson parks?

No, there is no overnight camping allowed at any park in Lake Jackson.

21. Can I use a BBQ pit or grill in a park?

Yes, as long as there is no burn ban in effect. However, you may not drive on the grass in any park to unload a grill or BBQ pit. Also, please dispose of ashes with care.

22. Is there a dog park in Lake Jackson?

The BASF Dog Park is located at 91 Lake Road and is adjacent to the Recreation Center. It is open everyday from 6am - 6pm, except for Wednesdays when it is closed for cleaning.
