[ARCHIVED] Partial Road Closure - 900 Block of Magnolia

Work on part of Phase 2, Step 2 of Gardenia and Magnolia Street segments have been substantially completed and it now moves into the remaining reconstruction portion of the work of Phase 2, Step 2 which has been scheduled to begin on Wednesday, September 10, 2014.

The start of the pavement removal will begin on the even numbered side of the 900 Block of Magnolia Street from Gardenia to the SH 332 frontage road. The work activity will begin on Wednesday with traffic control barricade and signage being reset along the work zone to direct single lane traffic flow in the proper direction along the existing pavement of this segment.

In preparatory work for this, temporary parking stalls have been installed for those displaced by the work side closure. The open side residents will have normal use of their driveways for parking. Following this, the removal of the old pavement will be accompanied with installation of temporary pedestrian access crossings at designated locations.

We provided detailed information of the construction at the public town meeting held in December and will provide the affected property owners or public in general with any information as needed through all our available communication media and direct phone call to the Engineering Department at (979) 415-2414.

Expect the periodic traffic disruptions and restricted access through the work zone. Please observe construction zone regulations of the directional and speed limit signs being erected and being enforced by our police department. Please make every effort to make plans to use the alternate routes to your destinations. Please exercise all caution and we appreciate your patience during this construction period.
