[ARCHIVED] H-E-B SITE CONSTRUCTION WORK TIMES

On November 3, 2014, City Council voted to grant an exception to Chapter 38 Article II – Noise that allows H-E-B to work at night and on weekends.

The proposed work schedule is as follows:
Monday through Friday: 7 am – 7:30 pm
2nd Shift M-F: 4 pm – 12 am
Weekends: 7 am – 7:30 pm

Day time work will consist of grading, the pouring of concrete for the buildings and the site, the installation of underground utilities, installation of building steel structural members, and installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing in the building pads.

Night time will be limited to the installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing in the building pads. Typical noises would include the use of generators, compressors, saws, drills, and similar type tools. There is no operation of machinery at night that would be in violation of Section 38-55.
