The City of Lake Jackson Utilities Department will be performing our bi-annual flushing and testing of our fire hydrants from Monday, January 9, 2017 through Friday, January 20, 2017. All the hydrants west of HWY 288 and all hydrants in the Northwood Subdivision will be tested and flushed.
We flush hydrants to remove settled particles, exercise the working parts, and to evaluate each individual hydrant for any repairs that may be needed. We test to ensure our hydrants are in good working order and to ensure that the flow is adequate per its classification.
