[ARCHIVED] Camellia St. & Camellia Ct. Construction Update

The pavement work on the odd side 100 Block of Camellia Street will soon be completed by the end of the week.

The contractor will now begin installing temporary parking and traffic control devices. This work mobilization will begin on Friday, November 20, 2015 on the Camellia Street segment between Camellia Court and Yaupon Street the odd number side first. The traffic control signage and barricading will begin shortly with all traffic along Camellia Street from and out of the neighborhoods being detoured to Yaupon to exit and Winding Way to ingress. Eastbound traffic from Winding Way to Yaupon Street will remain open as normal. Also at this time, the temporary parking stalls for those displaced will be installed across the street from their cutoff access. Pedestrian crossovers for them will be provided with this displacement.

This entire process is anticipated to take a period of 3 weeks. Once the odd number side is finished, the contractor will fall back to the Camellia Court full construction effort.

Please make plans to relocate any non daily use vehicles to accessible parking areas during your side closure. Expect the periodic traffic disruptions and restricted access through the work zone. Please observe construction zone regulations of the directional and speed limit signs being erected and being enforced by our police department.

We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconveniences these needed improvement changes may create for you.
