[ARCHIVED] Rec. Center A/C Unit Repairs

Beginning Monday, July 18, 2016 to Friday, July 22, 2016 we will be replacing the last 2 AHU (a/c) units for the building. These units currently run the air conditioning for the weight room, aerobics room and the right half of the gym. Due to the amount of work involved in replacing these 2 units the project could last 3 to 5 days but they have assured us they are working as fast as they can to get them hooked up and the air back on.

HOW THIS WILL AFFECT YOU:
• The aerobics room will be closed beginning Monday, July 18 to Friday, July 22, 2016. Instructors have been notified and classes have been cancelled.
• The weight room will remain open unless temperatures exceed 80 degrees or if we feel the temperature is unsafe and will then shut down as a safety measure. We will have 2 Power Breezers in the weight room to try and keep the temperatures down and air circulating. PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF HEAT RELATED ILLNESSES AND WORKING OUT IN EXTREME HEAT.
• The gym will remain open unless the temperatures get to hot or the floor begins to sweat. We will then have to shut down as a safety measure.

We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience. If you have any further questions feel free to speak with one of our front desk staff or with Robin Brant, Assistant Parks & Recreation Director.
