The City of Lake Jackson will perform a free chlorine conversion on our water system June 6th-June 20th.This conversion is necessary to improve our treatment process throughout the rest of the year. There will be taste and odor changes throughout this process, but it does not affect the quality of the water.
As part of the chlorine conversion, we will flush our water lines to boost the effectiveness of the free chlorine conversion. We will begin by flushing lines south of Oyster Creek Drive on June 7th and 8th from 10 PM-4 AM. The following weekend, June 14th and 15th, we will flush the lines north of Oyster Creek Drive from 10PM-4AM.
