Brazoria County has begun their mosquito spraying program and recently sprayed nearly all of Lake Jackson as of last Friday. They will continue to spray the city once every 7-10 days. The county generally sprays from 8pm to 4:30am, Monday-Friday with an occasional Saturday if a really bad outbreak happens. The city sprays for mosquitoes in the morning so as not to conflict with the county. We began our spraying this past Saturday, Sept. 14th. We have two trucks and spray areas north of Oyster Creek Drive on odd days and areas south Oyster Creek Drive on even days. Please contact our Public Works Department at 979-415-2430 with any questions or concerns.
