[ARCHIVED] FREE CHLORINE CONVERSION

November 27, 2019

Subject:  Free Chlorine Conversion

The City of Lake Jackson will perform a free chlorine conversion on our water system beginning on December 3rd and ending on December 16th, 2019. This conversion is necessary to improve our treatment process throughout the rest of the year. There will be taste and odor changes throughout this two-week process.

We will also begin our flushing process in tandem with the free chlorine conversion. We will flush everything North of Oyster Creek Drive on December 6th and 7th. We will begin flushing around 10 PM and flush through the night until 4 AM. The following weekend, December 13th and 14th, we will flush everything South of O.C.D. This will also happen from 10 PM to 4 AM. We are flushing to boost the effectiveness of the free chlorine conversion.

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me at 979-415-2691.

Sincerely,

Hector Renteria
