Lead and Copper Sampling
The City of Lake Jackson will begin lead and copper sampling beginning Monday July 13th. Our public water supply system is required by the EPA and TCEQ to periodically collect tap water samples to determine the lead and copper levels in our system. There will be a total of 60 homes selected for this sampling. The City of Lake Jackson is responsible for providing drinking water that meets all federal and state standards.
During this time, we understand that there is a major concern for health and safety. All materials for sampling will be provided and placed in a sealed bag, including a pair of disposable gloves. These materials will be sanitized, and city personnel delivering these will follow proper guidelines on disinfection and safety.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me at 979-415-2680.
Sincerely,
Hector Renteria
