[ARCHIVED] ONE WEEK DEBRIS CLEANUP STATUS

FIRST week _Debris graphic_Beryl

Crowder Gulf has been picking up debris for one week and they have collected one-third of the green debris within the city. The crews are slowed by the rain, but they continue to work. They are ahead of schedule. This period is called the first pass and it focuses on removing hazardous green debris that impacts community safety. Be patient. If we haven’t gotten to you, we are heading to you soon. We have estimated that the crews will pick up 250,000 cubic yards of green debris. That is roughly (for illustration purposes) the size of an 11-floor building sitting on a football field. We’ll be using this illustration to show you the progress through the city. #FastTrackLJCleanup #BerylCantStopUs #RestoreLJ
