The portion of Walnut Street crossing over a drainage ditch located between Silverbell Circle and Corkwood Street will be closed to both Pedestrian and Vehicular Thru Traffic starting Tuesday, February 11, 2014 for approximately two (2) months. This closure is necessary for the installation of concrete box culverts under the roadway and other construction as part of the 2010 Bond Drainage Improvements Project and safety of the general public.
?-Northbound vehicular traffic from the intersection of Basswood and Walnut Streets to the intersection of Silverbell Circle and Walnut Street, will need to detour through Basswood Street due west, Oleander Street due north, and Silverbell Circle due east back unto Walnut.
?-Southbound vehicular traffic from the intersection of Silverbell Circle and Walnut Street to the intersection of Basswood and Walnut Streets will need to detour through Silverbell Circle due west, Oleander Street due south, and Basswood Street due east back unto Walnut.
-Pedestrians traveling will need to use the sidewalks following the above stated detours.
Law enforcement and emergency organizations should disseminate this information to their staff and make any necessary route changes to their normal operations.
