House Bill 914, passed during the 2005 Texas legislative session, became effective January 1, 2006. The bill added a new Chapter 176 to the Texas Local Government Code. Chapter 176 requires certain local government officers and those doing business or seeking to do business with local governmental entities to publicly disclose specified relationships. The new disclosure requirements apply to municipalities, such as the City of Sugar Land, counties, school districts and certain other local governmental entities. City Ordinance Sec.14-4 requires house numbers be visible from the street. The numbers or letters should be at least three and one half (3 1/2) inches high, showing the number of the house or building. The numbers or letters should be placed on the front of the building so that they can be seen from the street. It is very important that this ordinance be followed. In General, Section 14-4 requires house/building numbers to be visible from the street. The numbers or letters shall be at least three and one-half (3 1/2) inches high and color legible enough to be seen by the public from the street immediately in front of the house or building. Yes. It is not required to have your house number painted on the curb, but per the City Ordinance it is mandatory to have the house number visible on the front of the house. If you choose to paint your house number on the curb, please be sure to familiarize yourself with Section 14-5, Street Curb Number Signage Installed by Solicitors ordinance to ensure the city's requirements are followed.Code Enforcement

With an additional fee, Civic Center staff will setup the room as requested.When renting Jasmine Hall, tables and chairs are available in the building at no additional charge. Renters must setup the tables and chairs.
South Parking Place and the Civic Center Outdoor Plaza do not come with tables and chairs. Those must be provided by a third party at the renter's expense.
