Major Accident/Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon arrest

For immediate release March 4, 2026

On Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at approximately 5:00 p.m., Lake Jackson Police, Fire, and EMS
responded to the 300 block of southbound Highway 288 for a major two-vehicle crash. 

Upon arrival, first responders determined that a red 2016 Toyota, driven by 34-year-old Nicholas Vivier of League City, was traveling northbound when it crossed the grassy median and collided with a white 2025 GMC truck traveling southbound. The GMC truck was driven by a 77-year-old male from Lake Jackson and had a 71-year-old female passenger also from Lake Jackson.

Lake Jackson EMS transported Nicholas Vivier and both occupants of the GMC truck to CHI St.
Luke’s Emergency Room. Nicholas and the 77-year-old male were treated for non-life-threatening
injuries. The 71-year-old female sustained serious injuries and was later transferred to Memorial
Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas. Her condition is unknown at the time of this release.

The investigation determined that Nicholas Vivier intentionally crossed the grassy median to cause a crash. After being released from the hospital, he was transported to the Brazoria County Jail and charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

Both the northbound and southbound lanes of Highway 288 were closed for approximately two and a half hours while officers worked on the crash scene. Lake Jackson Police Department accident reconstruction officers responded to the scene and were assisted by the Pearland Police Department’s Drone Team.

The Lake Jackson Police Department would like to thank all assisting agencies for their support,
including Lake Jackson Fire, Lake Jackson EMS, the Brazoria County Precinct 1 Constable’s Office,
and the Pearland Police Department. This incident remains an active investigation, and no further
information is being released at this time.
 

400 block of Huisache Street reported sexual assault

For immediate release | November 23, 2025

On Saturday, November 22, 2025, at approximately 6:44 a.m., Lake Jackson Police Officers responded  to a residence, located in the 400 block of Huisache Street, Lake Jackson, Texas, in reference to a reported sexual assault. Upon arrival, responding officers located a 67-year-old female Lake Jackson resident displaying injuries, who was transported to CHI St. Luke’s Brazosport Emergency Room for medical attention and examination. Detectives are actively investigating the incident and gathering information regarding the identities of all parties involved. The investigation is progressing while collecting and processing evidence with the cooperation of the victim. Based on the evidence collected thus far and information received from the victim, there is no perceived threat to any other person. Due to this being an active and ongoing investigation, no other details can be released at this time.

Update: Enterprise Rent-At-Car Homicide Investigation

UPDATE:
As of October 15, 2024, the suspect in this case, Bear Douglas Norton of South Carolina, was officially charged with the Murder of Isaiah Kane Williams and is currently being held in the Brazoria County jail on a one (1) million dollar bond.

No further information is being released currently.

ORIGINAL INCIDENT: On Monday, June 17, 2024, at 6 am the Lake Jackson Police Department responded to a call of a male sleeping in front of a business in the 145 block of Oyster Creek Drive. Upon the arrival of officers, they located 26-year-old Isaiah Kane Williams out of Lake Jackson, Texas, deceased on the sidewalk. Mr. Williams was at work at Enterprise Rent-a-Car, believed to be outside the building when he was stabbed once in the chest.

On June 18, 2024, the main suspect in the death of Mr. Williams, 45-year-old Bear Douglas Norton of South Carolina, was taken into the custody of the Lake Jackson Police Department on an unrelated felony burglary charge with a bond set at $400,000.

Aggravated Assault- Road Rage Incident- Update  

For Immediate Release | October 8, 2024

On Monday, September 30, 2024, at 4:30 pm the Lake Jackson Police Department responded to a 911 call of a 30-year-old male who had been shot in the leg while driving his white Hyundai in the 300 block of Highway 332 East, traveling northbound. Someone from inside a black in color car had fired multiple shots at the white Hyundai while both were traveling northbound on Highway 332 East. The 30-year-old male stopped his white Hyundai in the 100 block of Highway 332 East after being shot in the leg once by a bullet that traveled through his vehicle before striking him. There were three other occupants of the white Hyundai who were uninjured during the incident. The 30-year-old was flown by Life Flight to a Houston hospital and has since been released.

 On Tuesday, October 8, 2024, four active warrants were issued for Jose Julian Meza, a 21-year-old male out of Houston, Texas in connection with this road rage incident.

Meza has been charged with four counts of Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon with a bond of $75,000 each.

Shooting: Road Rage

For Immediate Release | October 1, 2024

On Monday, September 30, 2024, at 4:30 pm the Lake Jackson Police Department responded to a 911 call of a male who had been shot in the leg while driving in the 300 block of Highway 332 East, traveling northbound.

Someone from inside a black in color car had fired multiple shots at the while SUV while both were traveling northbound on Highway 332 East. The 30-year-old male stopped his white SUV in the 100 block of Highway 332 East after being shot in the leg once by a bullet that traveled through his vehicle before striking him.
There were three other occupants of the white SUV who were uninjured during the incident. The 30-year-old was flown by Life Flight to a Houston hospital.

At this time the case is actively being investigated, and no other information can be released.

Incident: Homicide Investigation

On Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 10:51 pm the Lake Jackson Police Department responded to a 911 call of a male who had been shot several times outside an apartment building at a complex in the 400 block of Garland Drive in Lake Jackson, Texas. Upon the arrival of officers, they found a 29-year-old male out of Lake Jackson deceased at the scene. At this time the case is actively being investigated, but it is believed that this was an isolated incident and there is no immediate threat to the public. The victim’s name is not being released pending notification of next of kin.  

No other names or further information can be released at this time.   

Update | Sept. 12 murder investigation

On Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 10:51 pm the Lake Jackson Police Department responded to a 911 call of a male who had been shot several times outside an apartment building at a complex in the 400 block of Garland Drive in Lake Jackson, Texas. Upon the arrival of officers, they found a 29-year-old male out of Lake Jackson deceased at the scene.

As of today September 16, 2024, the 29-year-old male has been identified as Juvuntae Antwiane Sentel Pipkins. The Lake Jackson Police Department is actively investigating this case.  

No further information can be released at this time.   

Incident: Homicide Investigation  

For Immediate Release  | June 18, 2024

On Monday, June 17, 2024, at 6 am the Lake Jackson Police Department responded to a call of a male sleeping in front of a business in the 145 block of Oyster Creek Drive. Upon the arrival of officers, they located a male subject deceased on the sidewalk. The male had injuries that were believed to have caused his death.

As of today, June 18, 2024, the deceased is identified as 26-year-old Isaiah Kane Williams out of Lake Jackson, Texas.  Mr. Williams was at work at Enterprise Rent-a-Car, believed to be outside the building, when he was stabbed once in the chest. Mr. Williams was sent to the Galveston County Medical Examiner's office to determine the exact cause of death. The main suspect in the death of Mr. Williams is in the custody of the Lake Jackson Police Department on an unrelated felony burglary charge with a bond set at $400,000.  He is 45-year-old Bear Douglas Norton of South Carolina, believed to have been in the Lake Jackson area for only a short time. The motive in the case is still under investigation and there is no indication the victim and suspect were known to each other. The case is still actively being investigated.


Incident: Fatality Accident  May 15, 2023

 May 16, 2023

On Monday, May 15, 2023, just before 8:30 am, Lake Jackson Police, Lake Jackson Fire, and Lake Jackson EMS responded to a call of a major accident in the 100 block of Hwy 332 E in Lake Jackson, Texas involving a single-vehicle.  Upon first responders’ arrival, a 2007 orange in color Chevrolet Avalanche was located with significant damage after rolling several times.  The driver and only occupant of the Avalanche, identified at this time as a 19 years of age male out of Houston, Texas was found to have been ejected from the vehicle during the crash.  It appeared the Avalanche veered striking the concrete guardrail before rolling several times.  The 19-year-old male was immediately given medical care and flown to Memorial Herman Hospital in Houston, Texas by Life Flight. Officers and Investigators are still determining the cause and contributing factors to the accident.


At about 4:00 pm, on the same date, the Lake Jackson Police Department was notified that the 19-year-old male had succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.  The name of the male is not being released at this time, pending notification of the next of kin.
